This is the second time Ben has been to Thornbury this week. The first time was to get a microwave and see potential Gladiators contestants.

Stephen’s enjoyed something on TV this week. Ben thought the same programme was decidedly average.

It seems one man in America has the superhero-like ability to eat crisps calmly to diffuse potentially violent situations. But what superpower would our listeners like?

Four songs. One year. Just guess the year and win a prize, in our big competition: The Golden Minute.

Kate Winslet has a large opening. The Chinese were concerned about it.

Stephen plays a song that sounds remarkably like porno jazz. He reckons he heard it in a film, but – conveniently – can’t remember which one.

In the week that Ben and Stephen were a tiny fraction late to the studio, the backup show kicked in and our live listeners heard us start the show with an ident proclaiming they were listening to the GlossFM “Solid Gold Sunday”, complete with a track by The Supremes.
Hopefully nobody noticed when Ben did an appallingly bad segueway into a loud Biffy Clyro track.

They’re making a sequel to Dumb and Dumber complete with the original cast. Stephen thinks this is a brilliant idea. Ben hasn’t seen it in years, but from memory – thinks the original was average. But what film would our listeners like a sequel made of?

Ben hasn’t seen much TV this week, as he doesn’t currently have a TV. He’s also been moving house, and hasn’t got any notes on what little TV he has seen. So who better to take part in the “The Week In TV” feature?
He’s also mistakenly thinking the Miriam Margolyes interview from Graham Norton happened this week. It turns out it’s an old clip from ages ago.

Stephen’s dragged a smelly cow into the studio. She’s not too happy about it. And nor is Ben.

If you’ve missed all the other available news outlets this week, you can catch up on the most odd, and least important stories in our big feature: Read All About It, which this week features Cheryl Cole and some cox.

Podcast Timings

00:00 – Intro, and what’s on the show, Easter.

We kick off with Ben opening a tin of someone else’s Quality Street (other chocolates are available) and eating chocolate when he should be talking.

Stephen is a fan of April Fool’s Day, but it turns out that Ben hates the stupid jokes, and he’s got one from his childhood that still sticks in his mind to this very day.

Want to win a top prize? Just tell us how many nuts are in Stephen’s bulging sack.
OK – so podcast listeners can’t really enter now, but feel free to play along at home (or on the bus, or whatever), for a bit of personal self-praise.

Ben rather awkwardly confuses two different lighting-my-fire-themed songs. Hopefully, nobody notices.

The best tweet from the last week, according to official statistics, is – by pure coincidence – the same one Stephen has chosen for our big feature: Tweek of the Week.

Stephen tries to relax in The Chillout Zone, but gets constantly irritated by Ben, who didn’t even like the choice of record. Thankfully, podcast listeners don’t get to hear it anyway. Lucky you.

Podcast Timings

00:00 – What’s on the show, Quality Street, and shit April Fools jokes.
07:24 – Ben’s house move, petrol panic buying, stamps.

We’ve stopped covering for someone else’s show, and moved to our own slot on Sunday afternoon, changing the name back to the Music and Waffle Show, as we go. Not that it makes any difference to podcast listeners.

Stephen’s been away to Tamworth this week. He reviews it, the hotel, and the food on offer. Bristol’s a much sexier town though. Isn’t it? If only there was a poll to find out.

What have Ben and Stephen watched on TV since the last show? Find out, in The Week In TV.

How many balls are in the bag? If our listeners can guess, they can win a big prize.

Ben nearly went to his school prom. Maybe he’d have gone if Mike Stone had been organising it.

Just what is double gatefold vinyl?

Not on Twitter? Are, but can’t be arsed to keep up with EVERYONE IN THE WORLD? *tut* Talk about bone idle. Thankfully, we trawl through every tweet written to bring you the Tweet of the Week.

And what’s that? You haven’t read the papers either? We look through them to give you a digest of all the news in ‘Read All About It’.

With a slightly unconventional start, we kick off another episode of The Saturday Show, with some bad news.

Also, we’ve been banned from using the c-word on air. For f***s sake. Damn those infernal joy-stealing s*** c*****faced mo*******rs! Oh well. Can’t be helped.

Bear Grylls might have lost his job, but there’s another big-name job you could get, where you don’t have to drink dog urine. Good news.

We’ve got a big competition where you can win..well..no prizes..if you can just guess the year.

Our live listeners got 3minutes and 5seconds of relaxing music. Obviously it’s cut from the podcast. Erm, yeah. Well it’ll teach you not to listen live, won’t it.

This week’s Tweet of the Week is a great one from a TV presenter/journalist/author.

We’ve been through all the news of the week, and bring you the shortened condensed version of only the most important stories, in Read All About It.
