Barclaycard Competition

A few weeks ago, Ben found out about a competition Barclaycard were running, to make a video about or featuring “slides”.
We wrote, shot, and edited it last week.

And here it is:

If you enjoyed this, please vote for us in the Barclaycard video competition!

Here’s how to do it:
- Go to http://www.youtube.com/barclaycardcreate (which will open in a new window) then click on “Vote” (the middle blue box).
- Type the word “shrink” into the search box, and click “Go”
- It should come back with just one, called “Barclaycard Shrinking Sliding”. Click that and our video will start playing again.
- Then click the “thumbs up” button.

Apologies it’s so long winded, but it’s outside of our control. Thanks a lot to anyone who takes the time to vote.

In the week that Ben is late to the show because he’s been editing a video, he makes his apologies. He’s sadly missed Dave Ashworth’s first outting though, so the online listeners won’t get to hear it.

Which would you rather be? A lettuce or a volleyball?

James feels a little prick, for the first time in years. It’s something work-related.

All a Twitter is still here for the third installment. It’s nail-biting start to finish.

Ben debates the problems of using a camcorder near a children’s play area.
He’s also lost a banana. Has anyone found it? Let us know.

Where does Dave Ashworth go before he appears on air? Answers on a postcard please.
When he makes his way back to the studio, he’s got some interesting stories about illegal activities.
He later comes back to read the news as well.

In the week where we’ve fallen into the gutter on the second link, James has overused his brain.

Somehow during “Highlight” of the week, we got onto the subject of the worst books we’d ever read.

BJS is about to complete the setup of it’s very own studio. It’s pure luxury. We’ve even got a microphone each.

It’s week 2 of the “All a Twitter” quiz, although James has completely forgotten the first week ever existed.

Stephen clearly needs to stop shouting off-mic, which he realises at the end of the feature.

Ben has made a girl ill just by being in her presence. At least she hasn’t maimed herself (well, this time).

The credit crunch has now got so bad that it’s affecting people who don’t exist. Ben has all the details.

Note : Ben’s microphone eventually sold for about £4 short of what he originally paid for it.

There’s been much praise for me and Stephen this week. James may or may not have been included within that.

Ben didn’t get a chance to get to the Book Barn while free books were available, but he has got several things from Freecycle this week. He’s also contributed some items back but can’t get rid of one thing.
He was forced to pay money for trainers. They’re unbranded. They’re not a brand like Nike, Adidas or Reebok, nor are they branded something like Dike, Dadidas or Beebok.

James has had an accident. He’s covered it up as best as he can.

There’s a new quiz this week called “All a Twitter”, with Stephen vs James.
Stephen’s in a rush to get out of the studio, so we’re not sure he’s really feeling in the competitive quiz mood. James mispronounces Zoe Margolis’ name.

James was disappointed Ben hasn’t brought more stuff to talk about, despite it being James’ show this week.

Thanks

Thanks to Stephen Gardner for assisting til 9:18pm this evening
