Comical American adverts

Again, this isn’t the work of BJS Productions. Thanks to Robert Popper for the heads up on both of these mad adverts.

Firstly, here’s an advert for a furniture store. The guy is really creepy. I wonder how he’s damaged my credit so that if he won’t give me credit, nobody else will either. He might as well have said: “You’ll never get credit again in this godforsaken town”

And here’s one I’ve been watching over and over for a week now.

Do you dislike toilet paper?

Do you have a need for additional length because you’re somehow too fat to reach your own behind?

If you answered yes, then clearly you need….

The Comfort Wipe!

Radio Spiritworld – Part 1

This isn’t our work, but Ben was listening to it this week.

It’s dark, odd, and the first ever part of a (comedy) radio show from the “other side”, hosted by the dead (all characters played by Peter Serafinowicz and Robert Popper).

More details (and a version you can download to your non-generic mp3 devices) are available from the official website at http://rsw.cc

On the show that started with James going “isn’t it your show? I did it last week didn’t I?”, we started with several terrible songs in a row.

There’s a newly printed and laminated book to advise studio managers how to do their job. Sadly, we haven’t got one this evening.

Ben’s got various free things this week. He blagged himself a free bacon sandwich and cup of tea, by driving to an eco-rally, and not telling them.

James has a big announcement to make to everyone. It doesn’t have anything to do with his sexual preferences.

Ben was advised that this week had Global Wind Day contained within it. He extended this to the entire week.

We have requests tonight. James isn’t that fond of most of them. He also gets some in the wrong order. Podcast listeners can enjoy some additional crackles and an untimely ending that Ben edited into one of them afterwards.

James has had an electronic device delivered to him this week. James thinks it’s good, Ben thinks it’d be annoying.

And

Get well soon to all the patients and especially any who requested music.

In the week that some events happened in the wrong order, Ben planned a very staged beginning to the show, forgot to press record and so had to record it a second time, afterwards. It appears here in the order originally intended.

James has been to London and rubbed shoulders with some charity-gig-going celebrities.

Ben has had the smallest victory over a supermarket ever. Some say he lost his pride and dignity in the process.

There’s some debate about The Apprentice Final, and then, in a abnormally high-brow moment, we debate politics at some length.

Steff’s been out and got some requests from hospital wards. To protect the innocent, we’ve bleeped out who one of these were for – so she won’t be embarrassed worldwide about our comments regarding her breasts.

Ben has changed the format of All a Twitter, so it’s no longer necessarily a quiz. This week it helped Ben disprove a rumour.

There’s been big news from Apple this week about operating system upgrades, new iPhones and other stuff that’s of interest to everyone in the studio.

Ben’s attempted to set up a petition on the Downing Street’s website about something that he thinks shouldn’t be allowed. It’s got nothing to do with The Beatles or Windows Vista.
It’s not been approved or rejected, as yet.

In the week where apparently the public was going to be too fed up with polticians to vote, Ben was late (and missed the start of the show), because he spent so long queuing at the polling station.
James wants to put him over his knee, but for completely different reasons.

There’s an apology related to ‘All a Twitter’. It seems there’s been a factually inaccurate question/answer, several times in previous quizzes.

We debate the penultimate episode of The Apprentice. Ben thinks Lorraine Tighe scrubbed up well in the after-show, and neither him nor James can remember Yasmina’s name, for some reason.

James is going to London. He’s not sure what he’s going to see anymore, but he’s got travel-related problems.

We debate Britain’s Got Talent, which is hard as James is the only one who’d watched it. Ben certainly doesn’t have sympathy for Susan Boyle.

This week’s show seems slightly smuttier than normal, unless it’s our imagination.

And here’s an Apprentice video Ben found on YouTube this week.

It’s a re-edit, using clips from 43 different episodes.
